Our PTO Board

Our Parent Teacher Organization is a non-profit organization led by a Board of volunteers who dedicate their time to support Red Hawk Elementary School, its staff, students, and families.

KELLY

SCHROEDER

President

Kelly is in her fifth year serving on the PTO. This is her first year as President following four years as Co-Treasurer. She has 3 kids: a 7th grader at EMS, a 4th grader, and preschooler, both at Red Hawk. She has lived in Erie for the past 8.5 years. Kelly is a former social worker working with at-risk children. Kelly is excited to continue to support the school through her position on the Board.

Vice President

Christine is in her third year serving on the PTO. This is her first year as Vice President after two years volunteering as an Events Coordinator. Christine has three kids currently at Red Hawk. She joined the PTO to bring new ideas and her experience in coordinating events to add to the success of Red Hawk’s PTO. She is excited to continue making the Red Hawk experience as fun and memorable as possible.

Co-Treasurer

Claire is in her second year serving as the PTO Co-Treasurer. She has a background working in K-12 and higher education administration – though, not in accounting. Claire has a 4th grader at Red Hawk and preschooler. She looks forward to deepening her connection to Red Hawk and its families and to continuing the great work of the PTO.

This is my first year serving on the Red Hawk PTO Board, and I'm excited to be part of such a wonderful school community! I am a retired middle school teacher who taught World History, Speech and Debate, and ELA. I also have two grandchildren at Red Hawk—a first grader and a Pre-k student.

I joined the PTO Board because, as a retired teacher, I know firsthand how much PTOs do to support teachers, staff, and students. I'm looking forward to volunteering, getting involved, and helping make this a great year for our Red Hawk community!

Secretary

This is Sarah's fifth year serving on the PTO board. She and her family moved from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Erie eleven years ago. Sarah and her husband, Lars have three children: two RHE alums attending Erie High School, Erie Middle School and one at Red Hawk. She loves traveling, baking/cooking, and organizing. She is excited to be serving as the secretary this year and looks forward to supporting the Red Hawk students and staff.

Pam is in her fifth year serving on the PTO Board. Previously as Recording Secretary, Vice President, President and now Business & Fundraising. She has 1 child at Red Hawk in 3rd grade and a 7th grader. She grew up in Louisville and has lived in Erie for 16 years.

DEI Coordinator

Melanie is the proud parent of two Red Hawk students, a fourth grader and a second grader. She loves getting involved at school through the DEI Committee and also with the school musical.

Staff Relations Co-Coordinator

Janelle is in her third year serving on the PTO Board. Before joining the Board, she was a dedicated PTO volunteer for almost two years and has loved being a part of the great things the PTO is doing for our kids and our school. She and her husband, Red Hawk’s Campus Supervisor, “Mr. Brett”, have two kids at Red Hawk in 4th and 5th grade. She loves her role as Staff Relations Coordinator because she can continue to be part of the team that supports our amazing teachers and staff so that they have the tools and encouragement to keep being fabulous.

Staff Relations Co-Coordinator

Hi everyone! I’m Kayla Eggemeyer, and I’m thrilled to serve on the Red Hawk PTO this year as your Staff Relations Co-Chair. My daughter, Eleanor, is in 3rd grade, my son, Henry, is in 2nd grade, and our family has been part of the Erie community for 13 years.

I am a guest teacher with SVVSD, and in my free time, you can usually find me crafting, working on jigsaw puzzles, or gardening. I joined the PTO to support our incredible teachers, foster a fun and inclusive school environment, and help turn great ideas into reality. I love connecting with people, so please feel free to say hi around school!

Events Co-Coordinator

Carolyn is in her second year serving on the PTO Board, previously as Recording Secretary. She and her husband have four children, including a 3rd grader and a 4th grader at Red Hawk, as well as two future Red Hawkers. Before moving to Colorado, Carolyn was a teacher in Arizona for 24 years. She is looking forward to another year as part of such an amazing and supportive team of people who truly love Red Hawk Elementary.

Events Co-Coordinator

Erica is excited to be serving her second year on the Red Hawk PTO. After a career in advertising, she traded ad campaigns for aisle runners and has been planning weddings for the past four years. Organizing events and creating memorable experiences is right up her alley. She's a proud Red Hawk mom to a first grader and an incoming preschooler. Erica grew up in Niwot and has called Erie home for the past 10 years. Erica joined the PTO to get more involved in the school community, make new friendships, and help create fun traditions and lasting memories for Red Hawk families. When she's not planning weddings or volunteering, she's usually chasing after her kids, cheering them on, or dreaming up the next celebration!

Hi, I'm Amanda! My husband and I have an incoming first grader at Red Hawk, and we're excited to begin this new chapter as a family. I love giving back, building relationships, and being part of a strong community, so I'm honored to serve on the PTO. I look forward to getting to know more families and helping create memorable experiences for our students, teachers, and staff.

Yearbook Coordinator

Esther is serving her first year on the PTO Board and second year as a PTO volunteer. She has one 5th grader at Red Hawk. She joined the PTO to hopefully create great memories and experiences for all at Red Hawk. She grew up in NJ, spent some time in CA and is now living in CO for past 8 years

Volunteer Coordinator

Chelsee is very excited to serve her first year on the Red Hawk PTO as a Volunteer Coordinator! Chelsee has been planning large scale and private events both professionally and for fun since graduating with a Journalist and Public Relations degree in 2014. After serving as the lead Volunteer Parent Social Committee at Wildflower Preschool for the last 3 years, she joins the Red Hawk family with her son Theodore who is in kindergarten this year. A Colorado native with a love for community and bringing parents, their kids, and fresh ideas together, Chelsee is committed to bringing Red Hawk families exciting opportunities and making memories for a lifetime! When Chelsee isn’t being a social butterfly she’s planning her next adventure with her local parent groups or testing out some new local adventures to bring to her volunteer duties! Lets have some fun!
