Autism and Neuro-Diversity Appreciation Month
April is Autism and Neuro-Diversity Appreciation Month
Our DEI Committee would like to provide resources to families to highlight and appreciate those who are differently wired. Examples of neurodiversity include, but are not limited to, ADD, ADHD, ASD, Autism, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Giftedness, and Tourette's Syndrome.
Neurodivergent people experience, interact with, and interpret the world in unique ways. Understanding more about those who are differently wired helps to reduce the stigma around learning and thinking differences and allows us all to celebrate those differences.
